'It’s a wholesome sports magazine'

I just love Sportstar. It’s a wholesome sports magazine which has been highlighting the feats of deserving sportspersons for so many years. Sportstar gives pure stuff. Whatever you speak (in an interview), it comes out in Sportstar as it is without biased editing or twist.

I remember the Cover Story on me and Sushil Kumar after we won medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It was a huge morale booster. As a sportsperson when you are placed on the Cover of a prestigious sports magazine, it encourages you to do better and achieve better results. Later, I valued Sportstar’s coverage of my bouts as a professional boxer. I look forward to many more stories on my bouts in the future.

Since the magazine has completed 40 years, I wish it all the best. The people who bring out such a fabulous magazine should keep up their good work.
