Ace Indian paddler Sharath Kamal had a fantastic 2018 that saw him finish the year on a career-high ranking of 30.
The 36-year-old soared to a medal haul at the at the Commonwealth Games, where he clinched a bronze in singles and bagged a silver in the men's doubles. He further extended his tally when won the gold with the men's team to cap off a brilliant campaign.
Sharath held on to his momentum and staged a stunning display at the Asian Games. He steered the men's team to a historic feat when the side bagged a bronze in team event and he then partnered Manika Batra to pocket the bronze medal in mixed doubles.
His splendid performances saw him finish the year as the country's top-ranked paddler.
