Indian para-archers felicitated for best-ever showing at World Ranking event

Harvinder Singh and Pooja claimed the mixed team recurve title, while Rakesh Kumar took the compound men’s gold medal.

As many as 70 archers from 11 nations are competing in this year's Championships which will also mark the return of Para Archery after a year.

The Indian para archers, who secured two gold and three silver medals in the seventh Fazza World Ranking tournament in Dubai, were felicitated on Sunday for their best-ever showing in an international meet.

 

Harvinder Singh and Pooja claimed the mixed team recurve title, while Rakesh Kumar took the compound men’s gold medal.

Shyam Sunder and Jyoti Baliyan bagged the compound mixed team silver. Shyam and Jyoti also claimed men and women's silver medals.

The para archers were honoured by Archery Association of India president and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda in Delhi.
