Swapna Barman may have become the first Indian heptathlete to win a gold medal at the Asian Games, but the athlete with 12 toes said she could have done better in three-four events.

"There was no pressure on me but I had thought of scoring 6000 points. The coach and I had thought of improving my high jump. Four events didn't go good for me, three events went fine," Swapna said upon her return from Jakarta.

Now the challenge for her would be to find customised shoes before the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. "I'm looking for shoes, will definitely try for Olympics."

The good news is that after Swapna appealed for customised shoes to fit her six-toed feet, the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai opened up channels with Nike, United States, a leading manufacturer of sports footwear, for making the special shoes.
