The 59th national inter-state senior athletics championships, scheduled to be held in Kolkata in mid-July, will now be held in Lucknow from August 27 to 30.
The championships will be the Athletics Federation of India’s (AFI) main qualification event for this September’s world championships in Doha.
The West Bengal Athletics Association had expressed its inability to host the championships a few weeks ago and thus the AFI was forced to move the event to a new venue.
