Monaco DL: Neeraj Chopra finishes seventh in javelin throw

Neeraj Chopra came up with a best throw of 78.92m in his last attempt, but had to be content with a seventh place finish in the javelin throw event at the Monaco Diamond League late on Friday.

Neeraj Chopra came up with a best throw of 78.92m in his last attempt, but had to be content with a seventh place finish in the javelin throw event at the Monaco Diamond League late on Friday.

In his six attempts, the junior world record holder had throws of 75.52, X, 78.58, 76-10, 75.37, 78.92 to finish second last. 

Germany's Thomas Rohler won the javelin throw competition with a best throw of 89.17 in his second attempt. Jakub Vadlejch (85.43) of the Czech Republic and Johannes Vetter (85.14) of Germany finished second and third respectively.
