Paralympics: Ankur misses qualification mark in 1500m T11 event

Ankur managed a timing of 4:37.61 in Heat 1, behind winner of the Heat Turkey’s Semih Deniz (4:11.75) but ahead of third placed Oscar Siquiej Raxon (4:57.22).

Ankur Dhama could not qualify for the finals of 1500m T11 Athletics event at the Rio Paralympics.

India’s Ankur Dhama finished second in his Heat but could not qualify for the finals of the 1500m T11 Athletics event at the Rio Paralympics, here today.

Ankur managed a timing of 4:37.61 in Heat 1, behind winner of the Heat Turkey’s Semih Deniz (4:11.75) but ahead of third placed Oscar Siquiej Raxon (4:57.22).

The other three athletes in the Heat were disqualified. Only the winners from the three heats and three fastest runners can qualify for the final but his timing was way below compared to runners in the other two Heats.
