Ranchi to host Asian Athletics Championships next year

The 22nd edition of the Asian Athletics Championships will be held in Ranchi from June 1-4 next year, the continent’s governing body of the sport announced today.

Asian Athletics Association made the announcement today after its 85th Council meeting in Doha, which was attended by IAAF President Sebastian Coe. The biennial flagship event of the AAA will be held at the Birsa Munda Stadium.

India had hosted the 20th edition in Pune in 2013. The Chinese city of Wuhan hosted the event in 2015.
