Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in partnership with Asian Games gold medallist Hyeon Chung of Korea had a tough outing against the Bryan twins, Bob and Mike, and bowed out to the top seeds 1-6, 2-6 in the doubles quarterfinals of the $720,410 Atlanta Open tennis tournament in the US.

The quarterfinal entry was worth 45 ATP points and $5,670 for the Indo-Korean pair. Purav Raja and Divij Sharan were scheduled to play their semifinals against Wesley Koolhof of the Netherlands and Artem Sitak of New Zealand.

National champion Riya Bhatia in partnership with Oana Gavrila of Romania was beaten 6-3, 6-2 in the doubles final by Aussie wild card entrants Samantha Harris and Belinda Woolcock in the doubles final of the $15,000 ITF women’s tournament in Romania.
