H.S. Prannoy registered a straightforward 21-10, 21-19 win over Indonesia's Tommy Sugiarto to enter the quarterfinals of the All England Badminton Championship on Thursday.

Srikanth, who climbed to No. 2 in the latest world rankings, bowed out of the competition with a tough 11-21, 21-15, 20-22 loss to World No. 25 Yuxlang Huang of China. A win would have put him face to face with compatriot Prannoy in the quarterfinals.

In the men's doubles, Satwiksairaj Ranikireddy and Chirag Shetty went down fighting to second seeds Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen of Denmark 21-16, 16-21, 23-21.
