The Indian duo of Ashwini Ponnappa and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy reached the semifinals of the Yonex Dutch Open with a 21-18, 21-14 victory over Scot Evans and Amanda Hogstrom in Almere (the Netherlands) on Friday.
While Evans is from Ireland, Hogstrom is from Sweden in this mixed doubles encounter.
The match lasted just 32 minutes. Ponnapa and Rankireddy are the last surviving Indian shuttlers in the tournament.
