4:43pm: The second game looks like going down the wire with both players no more giving an inch.

4:37pm: Axelsen makes it 11-9 at the interval with a big smash. Do we think Srikanth has a chance from here?

4:20pm: At the break of the first game, Axelsen leads 11-7. Too many errors on the part of Srikanth.

4:18pm: A jittery start by Srikanth as the Indian shuttler playing the shuttle into the net on couple of occasions. Still time in the game for him to get back, with Axelsen now leading 9-6.

4:09pm: The match we had been waiting for is about to start as Srikanth and Axelsen take the court. In terms of head-to-head record with Axelsen having won four and Srikanth three.

4:00pm: Ratchanok Intanon beats He Bingjiao 21-15, 21-14 to win the women's singles title. Bingjiao never made a comeback after she conceded the lead in the first game. Top stuff and great display of skills by Intanon.

3:28: Intanon's patience and persistence pays off as she makes it 14-14 by hitting a smash to the right of Bingjiao.

3:20pm: Intanon has adopted a strategy of engaging Bingjiao in long rallies and pushing her back to the court. At the break of the first game, Bingjiao is holding a slender 11-9 lead.

3:09pm: The match should get underway anytime soon with both players warming up.

3:05pm: Coming up next is the women's singles where Ratchanok Intanon takes on He Bingjiao in the final. Bingjiao enjoys a supremacy over Intanon in the head-to-head battle, having won all the four matches. Can Intanon pull one back?
