India's Saina Nehwal and P. V. Sindhu registered contrasting wins to move into the quarterfinals of the Indonesia Masters on Wednesday.
Saina fought back hard after losing a close first game to clinch her opening round match against young sensation and seventh seed Chen Yufei. P. V. Sindhu, on the other hand, dispatched her round-of-16 opponent Hanna Ramadhini 21-13, 21-10 in 34 minutes.
It took the unseeded Saina Nehwal 69 minutes to overcome the challenge of the Chinese player and register a 22-24, 21-15, 21-14 victory.

In disappointing start to the day, Sameer Verma lost his men's singles match to Japan's Kazumasa Sakai despite 16-21, 21-12, 10-21. Later in the day, P. Kashyap also bowed out in the first round, losing 21-18, 21-18 to Malaysia's Wei Feng Chong.
Satwiksai Reddy, who showed tremendous confidence under pressure to help his team Hyderabad Hunters clinch the Premier Badminton League, couldn't replicate the success in Indonesia. Partnering Chirag Shetty in the men's doubles, he lost the match 21-15, 21-17.
Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy also went down in their doubles match against Chinese Taipei's Lu Ching Yao and Yang Po Han. The duo lost 21-18, 16-21, 21-16.
