Lakshya Sen was in top form, dealing the knock out punch on the No. 2 seed Abhishek Yelegar, in the men’s singles semi-final of the $ 20,0000 Tata Open India International Challenge at the Cricket Club India badminton courts on Saturday.

Lakshya Sen was in top form, dealing the knock out punch on the No. 2 seed Abhishek Yelegar, in the men’s singles semi-final of the $ 20,0000 Tata Open India International Challenge at the Cricket Club India badminton courts on Saturday.

The 16-year-old Sen, who won 21-10, 21-12  will vie for the title with Thailand’s Sitthikom Thammasin. The Thai accounted for Mithun Manjunath 22-20, 21-6 in the second semi-final. The women’s final will be between Gadde Ruthvika Shivani and Riya Mukherjee.

Mixed doubles: Hee Chun Mak and Yeung Nga Ting (HKG) bt (4)  Pang Ron Hoo and Yen Wei Peck (MAS) 21-12, 24-22; Chang Tak Ching and Ng Wing Yung (HKG) bt Tang Jie Chen and Liu Ying Goh (MAS) 21-16,21-15.
