No. 1 seed Lin Dan clinched the Swiss Open title with a 21-12, 21-11 victory over Shi Yuqi, the No. 2 seed, in the final on Sunday. In a match that lasted 31 minutes, Lin Dan outplayed his opponent comprehensively, dominating for the most part in both games. In the first game, he arrested a slow start by levelling the scores at 4-4 and allowing Shi Yuqi to win only four points after they were level at 8-8.

In the second game, Lin Dan led throughout, barring three instances when the scores were level. Earlier, China’s Chen Xiaoxin defeated Chen Yufei 21-19, 21-14 to clinch the women’s singles title.

In mixed doubles, Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai won the title, defeating Praveen Jordan and Debby Susanto. India’s Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Sikki Reddy were ousted in the quarterfinals. The women’s doubles title was won by Chen Quingchen and Jia Yifan of China; they defeated Gabriela Stoeva and Stefani Stoeva. China’s Chai Biao and Hong Wei won the men’s doubles title, defeating Liu Cheng and Zhang Nan.
