Cassidy Mihalko is the all-time leading scorer for California Baptist University at the National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball in the United States. That shouldn’t come as a surprise to those who have watched her perform for her new side, Ringwood Hawks, in the Hoopathon series.
If there was an award for the player of the series, she would have been a strong contender. She was particularly outstanding in the final game here on Sunday.
“Yes, this was my best game of the series,” Mihalko told Sportstar shortly after scoring 31 points, which helped her team win a tight game. “I thoroughly enjoyed playing here inIndia.”

Though she had signed up for the Melbourne team in August, the season would start in Australia only in March. So this tour to Kerala helped her meet her teammates much earlier.
“This series therefore has come at the right time for me,” she said. “All the games were pretty competitive. I think Kerala played really well.”
Among the home side, she said P.S. Jeena looked really good. “She seems a talented player to me,” said Mihalko.

She said she enjoyed her maiden tour of India. “The people here are very nice and friendly,” she said. “We have had good crowds for all the matches. We also visited schools in various cities during the tour and it was fun interacting with young players there.”
