Kevin Durant is back.

The Warriors star has been sidelined with a strained right calf since last month, but was cleared to practice Sunday for the first time since getting hurt, coach Steve Kerr told reporters.

Kerr couldn't confirm Durant's status for Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Raptors, but said the team would determine his availability after he worked with some of the younger players.

"What he's doing today, he hasn't done. He's doing more today, and then we'll know after that," Kerr said.

Durant hasn't played since suffering the injury in Game 5 of Golden State’s second-round series against the Rockets.

Before going down with the injury, Durant was averaging 34.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists through 11 playoff games. He averaged 26 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists during the regular season.

The Warriors have gone 6-3 in Durant's absence during the post season, though all three defeats have been in the championship series against the Raptors.

Golden State is down 3-1 entering Game 5 in Toronto, and the only team to rally from a 3-1 deficit in NBA history was a LeBron James-led Cavaliers team that beat the Warriors in 2016.

Monday's tipoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.
