Warriors coach Steve Kerr weighed in on speculation surrounding Kevin Durant's future, though Kerr didn't reveal any new details.

Kerr spoke about the rumors swirling and said it's not always easy for Durant to have his name in headlines as the media speculates his future. The 30-year-old forward can opt out of his contract after the season and is expected to become a free agent.

“It’s not easy if you in particular are reading your own name in trade rumors,” Kerr said Saturday (per the San Francisco Chronicle). “Anything like that is difficult. I think you understand, after you have been in the league for a few years, that it’s part of the deal.”

Kerr went on to say handling the speculation is simply part of the job.

"You get paid a great salary to play basketball for a living and the upside is pretty awesome, but there are some things that are difficult to deal with as well,” Kerr said. “That’s your job, and you have to do that.”

Durant is already rumored to potentially join LeBron James with the Lakers or head to the Knicks, but Durant said earlier this season that money will be a big factor in his decision.

Durant has helped the Warriors win back-to-back NBA championships since joining Golden State in 2016, earning Finals MVP awards each time.

Durant, a nine-time All-Star, is averaging 27.5 points, 7.1 rebounds and six assists this season.
