The Cavaliers has traded Isaiah Thomas.
Cleveland announced on Thursday it traded Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye and the Cavaliers' first-round pick in 2018 to the Lakers for Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance.
The Cavaliers got rid of Thomas, as many people hoped it would, while the Lakers got players with expiring contracts and another first-round pick to add to its future.
Cleveland has been looking for players who can help this season and beyond and Nance and Clarkson fit that mold. Clarkson is signed up to a four-year, $50 million contract and will not be a free agent until after 2020.
Nance was also signed up through 2020, but it was to a much more team-friendly deal. He is making $1.47 million this season, $2.27 million in 2018-19 and $3.36 million in '19-'20.
Thomas appeared in only 15 games for the Cavs after coming over from Boston in August in the Kyrie Irving deal.
