The Lakers needed a little bit of magic Thursday, and Brandon Ingram provided it.

With under a second remaining on the clock, Ingram sized up a 3-pointer fresh off a nice Lonzo Ball dish to beat the 76ers 107-104 on the road. Ingram finished the game with 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Philadelphia enjoyed huge performances from Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, but it wasn't enough to stop the Lakers' balanced scoring. Embiid poured in 33 points with seven rebounds, six assists ans five blocks, while Simmons notched his third triple-double of the season by scoring 12 points with 15 assists and 13 rebounds. However, the 76ers fell behind early and couldn't rally back.

The Lakers' win snapped a five-game losing streak. The 76ers (13-11) has now lost four of its last six games, which dropped it down to eighth in the Eastern Conference standings.

Stud of the Night

James Harden scored 29 points with five rebounds, and Chris Paul added 18 points with 13 assists and nine rebounds to lead the Rockets to an 112-101 win over the Jazz.

Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal continued his scorching form by scoring 34 points with four assists in a 109-99 road win over the Suns. Beal, who shot 13 of 22 from the field, has now scored 85 points in his last two games.

Dud of the Night

The Thunder: Playoff teams win on the road, and Oklahoma failed to do so Thursday in a 100-95 loss in Brooklyn to the Nets. The Thunder (11-13) have looked sluggish at times this season, never really clicking. Russell Westbrook had 31 points and eight rebounds in the loss, but the rest of the team did little to support the reigning MVP.

What's Next:

Warriors (20-6) at Pistons (14-10) 7:00 p.m. ET —  Pistons center Andre Drummond is averaging a triple-double, and the Warriors are without injured Stephen Curry. Still, Golden State possesses plenty of difference makers. Detroit lost its fourth straight game Wednesday night, proving it still needs to find a consistent go-to scorer late in games.
