Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said the Currys are NBA royalty as brothers Stephen and Seth prepare to clash in the Western Conference finals.

It will be a family affair in the west with Stephen Curry's two-time reigning champion Golden State Warriors facing Seth's Portland Trail Blazers for a spot in the NBA Finals.

Parents Dell and Sonya Curry have been busy travelling across the United States to watch their sons play and Kerr praised the family. Dell, of course, played 16 years in the NBA and is one of the best long-distance shooters in league history.

"The Currys are unbelievable," Kerr told reporters on Monday. "They have been flying all over the place, seeing both kids play in the NBA playoffs and then seeing them play against each other.

"They are like the royal family of the NBA. It's incredible. Steph and Seth having all this success. As parents [Dell and Sonya], they must be having the time of their lives.

"Actually, I know they are because I've talked to them about it. What a beautiful scene. I'm sure it will be conflicting for them, these next couple weeks. What a great story."

The extended Curry family will not have to make split travel plans to support their sons in the NBA playoffs any longer. This is the first conference finals meeting of brothers in league history.

"For them, it's family," three-time NBA champion Stephen Curry said. "And parents who support us all the way through the ranks. Now, to be in a situation like this, where it's technically a win-win for them, they're going to the Finals regardless.

"But it's kind of crazy to think we're on this stage and get to play in front of our family, and just the happiness and joy that comes from that is crazy."

After Sunday's Game 7 win over the Denver Nuggets, Seth Curry said, "It's a dream come true for both of us. So many years I've watched Steph play in the Western Conference Finals, the NBA Finals being in the crowd. It's going to be fun being out there on the court competing to get to that finals."

Dell and Sonya said they will flip a coin before each game to see which parent roots for which son when the series starts on Tuesday.

"It's going to be so much fun," Sonya Curry told ESPN.com . "It is. From our end, to see both of our sons to compete at this level and for the goal to be a championship is such a blessing. We never could imagine this. One of them might go home. But we're going to the championship!"
