Goyat to defend his title alongside Vijender

The 25-year-old boxer has fought 12 bouts with an experience of 71 rounds under his belt and has claimed eight wins, with two knockouts.

Goyat will try to defend his title in a 10-round fight against Allan Tanada of Philippines in the welterweight category (66.7kg).

World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia welterweight champion Neeraj Goyat will look to defend his title in 'Battleground Asia,' which will also feature WBO Asia Pacific super middleweight winner Vijender Singh versus WBO Oriental super middleweight Zulpikar Maimaitiali in Mumbai on August 5.

Goyat will try to defend his title in a 10-round fight against Allan Tanada of Philippines in the welterweight category (66.7kg).

Goyat made his professional debut in 2011 against Gou Wen Dong in China. He has fought 12 bouts with an experience of 71 rounds under his belt and has claimed eight wins, with two knockouts. He is currently placed 35th in the WBC list.

The experienced Tanada made his debut in 2008 and has boxed 24 bouts with 15 wins, including seven knockouts.
