Top seed Koneru Humpy of India finished a disappointing sixth in the second leg of the FIDE Grand Prix women’s chess, held in Tehran. She could score only six points, 1.5 behind the champion, Ju Wenjun of China, who was the second seed.
There was more disappointment for India, as Dronavalli Harika, seeded fifth, ended in the ninth place.
