For the second successive day, National champion M. R. Lalit Babu punched above his weight to hold former World championship runner-up Boris Gelfand in 31 moves in the fourth round of the Tradewise Gibraltar Masters chess tournament here on Friday.
Prasanna Rao and Hemant Sharma upstaged much higher-rated Grandmasters. Prasanna stunned 20th seeded Spainiard David Anton Guijarro (rated 2666) and Hemant brought down 27th seeded Croatian Marin Bosiocic (2628).
Third seed Hikaru Nakamura led the strong field with an all-win record.
