B. Adhiban drew with Anish Giri while P. Harikrishna settled for a draw with Richard Rapport in the 12th and penultimate round of the Tata Steel Masters chess tournament here on Saturday.

Late in the round, Magnus Carlsen was pressing for victory against Ukraine’s Pavel Eljanov after Levon Aronian jumped to the joint second spot after beating local hope Loek van Wely.

USA’s Wesley So inched closer to the title after splitting the point with Wei Yi.
