Viswanathan Anand was involved in a third straight draw after facing China’s Ding Liren in the third round of the Norway chess tournament, here, on Wednesday. The result kept Anand in the tied second spot with six others at 1.5 points. Action will resume after a day’s rest.
World champion Magnus Carlsen (2.5) enlarged his lead following a second victory. He tamed defending champion Levon Aronian in 31 moves, four moves after the Armenian faltered seriously with a knight-manoeuvre.
