Viswanathan Anand split the point with USA’s Wesley So after missing a complex winning continuation in the fourth round of the Sinquefield Cup chess tournament here on Tuesday.

After Anand watched helplessly as Wesley forced a draw with perpetual checks in 42 moves, Fabiano Caruana joined the Indian in the lead at 2.5 points after Levon Aronian blundered in time-pressure to lose in 53 moves. Rest of games were drawn.
