CWG: Indians hope to continue medal rush

Indian pugilists are just one win away from assuring themselves of a medal as they play their respective quarterfinal matches at the ongoing XXI Commonwealth Games at Gold Coast.

India is at the back of an excellent performance in the Games and it has surged to the third position in the medals tally with 10 gold medals, four silver and five bronze medals.

Indian squash flag bearers Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinappa, the reigning gold medalists, will also continue their title defence when they meet Pakistan's Zafar Faiza and Zafar Madina.

Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth, who was a part of the gold medal winning badminton team, will be in action in his round-of-32 match while Jitu Rai will be keen to add another gold when he will compete in the 50m pistol men qualification.
