Sathiyan had to settle for silver in the men's doubles category here at the Commonwealth Games. In the final, they lost to England’s PaulDrinkhall and Liam Pitchford 6-11, 12-10, 11-9, 6-11, 6-11. It was a close match as the Indians fought their way back into the match after losing the first set. He was outclassed by Nigeria's Aruna Quadri 12-10, 11-9, 11-9, 11-7. Sharath now has the chance to gain a bronze medal on SundayIndia's Harmeet Desai and Sanil Shankar Shetty won the men’s doubles bronze, defeating Singapore's Pang En Koen Yew and Ethan Po Shao Feng 11-5, 11-6, 12-10.
