Dehradun to host Afghanistan vs Ireland Test from March 15

Before the Test match, the two teams will play three T20s, beginning from February 21. The T20s will be followed by five One-dayers. On Monday, the Afghanistan Cricket Board announced the dates on its social media platforms.

Last year, the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Dehradun made its international debut when it hosted a limited-overs series between Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Come March 15, the venue will host its first Test match when the home team, Afghanistan, takes on Ireland for a lone Test.

Before the Test match, the two teams will play three T20s, beginning from February 21, and will play five One-dayers. On Monday, the Afghanistan Cricket Board announced the dates.

While Ireland made its Test debut against Pakistan in May last year, Afghanistan took on India in its Test debut in Bengaluru in June, last year. This will be the second Test for both the sides.

The Fixtures

T20s: 1st T20 (February 21), 2nd T20 (February 23), 3rd T20 (February 24).

ODIs: 1st ODI (February 28), 2nd ODI (March 2), 3rd ODI (March 5), 4th ODI (March 8), 5th ODI (March 10).

Test: March 15-19, 2019.
