Australia batsman Usman Khawaja is eager to see his team complete an Ashes whitewash over England after securing the urn.

A win by an innings and 41 runs in the third Test in Perth on Monday saw Australia reclaim the urn with two Test matches to go.

Match report

While the series is won and the senior England players are under fire, Khawaja said his team was focused on taking out the final two Tests.

"We've played some good cricket so far. Everyone's contributed at certain periods. It's been a great team effort," he told a news conference on Tuesday.

"Hopefully we'll win 5-0 and when we do, I'm sure at the end of that we'll all get together and have a drink. I'm sure that will happen. We know the series is won, but we're still trying to win the next two games."

However, Australia may be without Mitchell Starc for the Boxing Day Test as the paceman battles a heel injury.

Khawaja said there was no doubt the left-armer would be doing all he can to feature in Melbourne.

"I think Starcy's doing all right. I'm sure whatever the case, he's going to be doing whatever he can to play Boxing Day," he said. "He bowled beautifully this game, he was obviously in a little bit of pain, but I think they're going to have to assess it [and see] how things go after the next couple of days.

"You never know what's really happening until you give it a little bit of a break and hopefully he'll be there for Boxing Day."
