Hong Kong will face the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the final match of the Asia Cup 2022 qualifier at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Muscat, Oman.
Both teams are locked in a battle for the top spot of the four-team league after Kuwait’s thumping win over Singapore earlier on Wednesday. The winner of the league stage will proceed to the secondary stage of the Asia Cup and join India and Pakistan in Group A.
A win will seal Hong Kong’s qualification with its third win in as many games. However, UAE (two points and NRR: 1.045) will need a big win to topple Hong Kong and Kuwait which has a superior NRR (1.647).
