The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will announce the Indian team for the World Cup on April 15.
The Board officials have confirmed to Sportstar that the five-member selection committee will meet at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai to choose the squad for the tournament, which begins in England from May 30.
Last week, the chairman of selection committee, MSK Prasad, had said that the team will be named on or before April 20.

According to the tournament's guidelines, every team has to announce its final squad on or before April 23. The teams, however, can make any any changes to the final squad of 15 at least seven days prior to the tournament, after which point the International Cricket Counil's Event Technical Committee must approve any such changes.
Earlier, teams would announce a probable 30-member list two months before the tournament, but under the new Members Playing Agreement which came into effect in 2016, the teams do not need to follow such a practice. Prasad had earlier exuded confidence about naming the best squad for the mega event.

“I am confident that we are going to announce a good team. We have worked on this for almost one and a half years. We have observed all the players, tested good combinations," he had said last week.
