The Committee of Administrators (CoA), which has been given the mandate by the Supreme Court to oversee the day-to-day affairs of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and enforce the Supreme Court order of July 18, 2016, on the matter of the Justice Lodha Committee recommendations for reforms in cricket, is on an overdrive to finalise the BCCI’s new Memorandum of Association, Rules and Regulations by March 20 when the apex court will hear some important matters of the BCCI.

This would be a very significant move from the CoA, whose chairman Vinod Rai said in Singapore recently that he hopes to carry out the Supreme Court mandate in four to five months.
“Almost everything is ready; the CoA, which is virtually the BCCI, would like to post the MoA and Rules and Regulations, on the BCCI website by March 20,’’ said an official close to the developments.

The Justice Lodha Committee has already re-written the radical MoU and Rules and Regulations, and got it validated by the Suprme Court on July 18, 2016, but the BCCI and a majority of its full members have raised objections to many recommendations.
