Legendary former India cricketers Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman will be present at the Eden Gardens to witness the historic Day/Night Test match.

A Bangladesh High Commission team, led by Deputy High Commissioner Toufique Hasan, on Tuesday expressed its satisfaction over the preparations for the India-Bangladesh day-night pink ball Test match to be played at the Eden Gardens here from November 22.

The Bangladesh team saw the preparations and exchanged ideas with top Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) officials, headed by secretary Avishek Dalmiya.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will ring the bell, with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, to mark the start of the Test and will watch the opening day’s action.

The two leaders will be accompanied by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly, secretary Jay Shah, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan and top cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Naimur Rehman among others.

“We are satisfied with the preparations,” said Hasan.

“We had a long, detailed and very meaningful meeting. The representatives of the Bangladesh High Commission were briefed (about the preparations) and all their queries were taken care of," Dalmiya said.

"It's a historic event and we will try to make it special and memorable in every way possible. We are making sure that everything is arranged well for the Bangladesh Prime Minister."

Dalmiya said cricketers who took part in the first ever Test match between the two countries would be felicitated after the first day’s play.

There are plans to hold a chat show featuring Ganguly, Tendulkar, Dravid, Anil Kumble and V.V.S. Laxman.
