When Mohit Ahlawat slammed a double century in the local league, he earned a slot in the Delhi Ranji Trophy team last season. Ahlawat, however, failed to keep his place and gave way to Rishabh Pant, who made his India debut in the T20 International against England recently.

On Tuesday, Ahlawat tore into the Friends XI attack and produced a 72-ball unbeaten innings of 300 with 14 fours and 39 sixes when turning out for Maavi XI. The venue, with a 35-yard boundary, was Lalita Park ground in east Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar area. The scoresheet provided to Sportstar did not have the umpires’ names and there was no official scorer.

Maaxi XI made 416 for two in 20 overs and Friends XI 200 in 13 overs. Friends XI won the Friends Premier League match by 216 runs.
