Dhoni: Looking forward to work with Supergiants

After leading Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for eight years in the Indian Premier League, Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that he was looking forward to working with his new team Rising Pune Supergiants.

>Despite admitting that he has not moved away from CSK , Dhoni today said that he is “looking forward to a new experience” with the Pune-based franchise. “This year we have a very balanced side with the right combination of youth and experience which is essential for any team to succeed,” said Dhoni during the launch of the team’s jersey.

“We have got some big hitters and players who know to bind the innings together by putting on partnerships. Both batting and bowling unit looks good on paper but consistent performance will be the yardstick for judging the team,” he added.

Kanitkar appointed coach

Meanwhile, former India all-rounder Hrishikesh Kanitkar was appointed as an assistant coach of the team.

Indian Premier League’s new entrants Rising Pune Supergiants today appointed former Indian all-rounder Hrishikesh Kanitkar as an assistant coach. Kanitkar will assist head coach Stephen Fleming in the side.
