>Mahendra Singh Dhoni reached his first T20 international fifty in the third game against England in Bangalore on Wednesday. In a rather surprising stat, Dhoni, who led India to victory in the first World T20 in 2007, has played 75 matches in this format but never scored a 50. His previous best was 48 not out against Australia.

Dhoni, playing for Chennai Super Kings and later for Rising Pune Supergiants, has scored 16 half-centuries in the Indian Premier League.
