There's nothing that Mahendra Singh Dhoni can't do. Be it driving all the way to Jaipur from Delhi on a bike, or travelling through the bylanes of Ranchi in his Hummer — the former India captain is a master of all.

On Wednesday morning, as the Hatia-Howrah Karmayogi Express entered the platform in Howrah, the commuters were in for a surprise as they saw Dhoni getting off from the AC two-tier coup along with his Jharkhand team-mates.

Dhoni, who recently handed over the ODI and T20I captaincy to Virat Kohli, will be playing the Vijay Hazare Trophy, donning the Jharkhand colours.

"It was a long journey and Mahi bhai spoke to us throughout. It's not everyday that you get to travel with a superstar," a young Jharkhand cricketer, who travelled with Dhoni, told Sportstar .

The news of Dhoni travelling by train broke out after the Jharkhand skipper posted a picture on Instagram, with his team-mates. The captain, who prefers travelling in his Hummer, decided to travel by train so that he could interact with the young players better.

"It is a long-journey and I will be able to enjoy every bit of it, talking to the players," Dhoni had said before boarding the train.

Jharkhand will play its opening match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Karnataka at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, followed by another one against Chhattisgarh on Sunday.

"With Mahi bhai around, the team is all geared up to deliver a good show," the Jharkhand cricketer added.

Even though he played for Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy last season, he didn’t leading the side. But this time, with the 'Captain Cool' back in business, the young guns are indeed capable of springing in a surprise.
