Mizoram has roped in K.B. Pawan and Abrar Kazi as guest players for the upcoming BCCI domestic season.
The seasoned campaigners moved from Karnataka to Nagaland in the 2018-19 season.
Spin-bowling all-rounder Kazi was the leading run-scorer (814) for Nagaland in the Ranji Trophy, while wicketkeeper-batsman Pawan was on top of the list in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with 432 runs.
Pawan and Kazi will reunite with former Karnataka coach P.V. Shashikanth who took up the coaching role in Mizoram last year.
“I am looking to play good cricket and that’s all. I will also have the company of Kazi and Shashikanth
sir . So it is kind of good to have known people around,” Pawan told
Sportstar on Monday.
Mizoram had released its three guest players — Taruwar Kohli, Akhil Rajput and Sinan Khadir — from last season, but it is likely to recall Kohli who emerged top-scorer (826) in Ranji.
