India international Mayank Agarwal is all set to make a domestic return as Karnataka meets Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy semifinal at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from Thursday.

The 27-year-old right-hander made his international Test debut in Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in December. He finished with 195 runs that comprised two fifties.

He has been named in the 15-member Karnataka squad for the high-octane clash that will also feature Cheteshwar Pujara (for Saurashtra) — another hero from India’s victorious tour of Australia.

If Mayank is included in the playing XI, it will be an emotional return as it was his domestic performance that earned him the India ticket.

He had amassed 2,169 runs in 32 innings in the entire 2017-18 season for Karnataka.
