Gujarat skipper Parthiv Patel says he’s happy with the way Jasprit Bumrah is bowling. When asked if Bumrah is ready for Test cricket, Parthiv said: "I think he is bowling well; there are the selectors who will definitely take a call over the course of time, but I think he is bowling well; as a 'keeper, as captain, I am quite happy with the way he is bowling."
Parthiv is not worried about his bowling department getting depleted by the absence of Bumrah: "Jasprit deserves to play for India. If he is not around, he is not around. We can’t do anything about it. He deserves to play for India; he has bowled fantastically well throughout the season, but then as a team, it gives an opportunity to another bowler to step in and do well in the final."
"We always knew that if we go to the final, he won’t be there because he has done so well for India in one-day cricket, so he was definitely a surety to be picked in the one-day format. We can’t do anything about it. We have won a couple of games this season without (left-arm spinner) Axar Patel and Jasprit; so we can take this confidence into the final."
