Group A

Assam vs Uttar Pradesh : Match drawn. Uttar Pradesh takes three points with a first-innings lead.

Maharashtra vs Railways : Match drawn; Maharashtra gains three points with a first-innings lead. Amol Karhadkar reports from Pune:

. Maharashtra inexplicably prolonged the declaration. When it eventually did, three minutes before scheduled tea, it had tallied 187 for six. A target of 287 off 33 overs looks well beyond Railways reach.

. Maharashtra has plundered 99 for three in the 14 overs after lunch. At the drinks break, it is 236 ahead. Declaration isn't too far!!!

. Maharashtra openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Murtaza Trunkwala have adopted cautious approach till lunch. At the break, Maharashtra is 37 for no loss, with a lead of 144.

. Maharashtra have wrapped up the Railways innings with a substantial lead of 107 runs. With 70 overs remaining in the game, don't be surprised if Maharashtra batsmen slog it for 30-odd overs and give Railways an enticing target.

. Maharashtra has struck twice in the first half hour. Pradeep Dadhe fetched a nick off Arindam Ghosh's willow to keeper Rohit Motwani off the 10th ball of the morning. Five overs hence, Anureet Singh drove Nikit Dhumal straight to Ankeet Bawane at mid-off. Railways 345 for 7.

Karnataka vs Delhi : Match drawn. Karnataka takes three points with a first-innings lead. It finished Day Four at 235 for 3 in its second innings.

N. Sudarshan reports from Alur:

. Karnataka bowls Delhi out just one hour into Day Four. A. Mithun takes a five-for (five for 70) including four in the morning as Delhi could add only 24 runs to its overnight total. Gautam Gambhir made 144. The host isn't enforcing follow on. Karnataka will bat and is ahead by 348 runs.

the wicket is lifeless but take nothing away from the Odisha batsmen. They have been brilliant in their resistance. TN still favourites to pocket three points but they badly needed a win here. @sportstarweb

Group B

Jharkhand vs Jammu and Kashmir : Jharkhand, given a target of 350 to win, was bowled out for 243. J&K won by 106 runs.

Haryana vs Team Rajasthan : Match Drawn. Haryana collects three points.

Saurashtra vs Gujarat : Match drawn. Saurashtra took the first-innings lead. It was 98 for 1 in its second innings when the contest was declared over.

Group C

Tripura vs Andhra : Match drawn. Andhra gains three points with a first-innings lead.

A. Joseph Antony reports from Agartala:

. Tripura was on 119 for three, chasing a target of 322 from 66 overs.

. Andhra declared its second innings at 234 for four, setting Tripura a target of 322 in their group C match at the Maharaja Bir Bikram University stadium on Sunday.

Odisha vs Tamil Nadu : Odisha has taken the lead against Tamil Nadu, with one wicket in hand. The set Rajesh Dhuper got out on 97 with Odisha five runs away from drawing level, but the No. 10 and No. 11 have taken their team past their opponent.

. Odisha has really done a brilliant job so far to avoid the following on. At tea, Odisha 418 for seven. The home team needs 113 runs in the next 30 overs to take the lead. The wicket does not have a lot to offer for the bowlers but Odisha has been brilliant with its resistance. There were some useful lower order contributions from Rajesh Dhuper (still unbeaten) and Alok Sahoo, who was not afraid to attack the spinners landing a few sixes for his 36. Tamil Nadu desperately needs these three points.

. It was one dreary session of cricket. TN toiled hard but Odisha showed just enough resilience to frustrate the visitor. In 34 overs, only 58 runs came with just one wicket. Odisha will count this session as a win. The home team needs just another 39 runs to avoid the follow on.

. Odisha had to contend with a tough opening spell by the TN bowlers. There were a couple of edges that went through the slips. It needed a moment of brilliance from keeper Jagadeesan to get TN a much needed wicket; he stumped a well-set Biplab Samataray for 50. It was brilliant because Jagadeesan was standing back to Vijay Shankar and he quickly under-armed to the stumps once the batsman missed. The batsman was standing outside the crease. Whoever noted that deserves credit. Odisha 317 for five with Shantanu Mishra batting on 54.

Mumbai vs Baroda :  Mumbai's lower order provides enough resistance to avoid an outright defeat. Mumbai finishes on 260 for 7 in its second innings. Baroda takes three points from the drawn game.

Nandakumar Marar reports from Mumbai:

. Left-arm spinner Swapnil Singh bowled Ajinkya Rahane (45 off 134 balls) after the latter added 17 runs to his overnight score on the fourth day morning, moving Baroda closer to an innings victory over Mumbai here at the Wankhede stadium. Playing the 500th Ranji trophy tie, the home team was 163 for 5 at lunch on the final day, trailing by 241 runs. Suryakumar Yadav and Siddhesh Lad were at the crease, facing an uphill task to stretch the second innings till close of play and avert defeat.

Bengal vs Vidarbha : Vidarbha defeats Bengal by 10 wickets, collecting the required 14 runs in 1.3 overs. [ Report ]
