Puducherry will hope to get the house in order when it takes on Manipur in a Ranji Trophy Plate group fixture at a neutral venue, in Anantpur. The fixture had to be shifted to Anantpur after a pitch fiasco at the CAP Siechem ground in Puducherry earlier this week.
Playing in a new venue, the Rohit Damodaren-led side will look to regroup and aim for an outright win. With 25 points from six games, Puducherry still has a slim chance of making it to the next stage, and that should motivate the team.
In Jorhat, Bihar, which is placed second in the group, will take on Mizoram. After a series of wins, Bihar coach Subroto Banerjee is confident of the team's chances. "The pitch looks good and we will try and put up a good show," he said.
In the other two games, Nagaland faces Arunachal Pradesh, while Sikkim plays Meghalaya in Bhubaneswar.
