The four-day Ranji Trophy Group A match between Hyderabad and Maharashtra was abandoned without a ball being bowled at the Gymkhana Ground here on Monday.

Though there was no rain on the final day, a heavy downpour last evening rendered the ground unfit for play, leaving the teams disappointed. The two teams were awarded a point each after the wash out. Hyderabad will take on Uttar Pradesh from October 14 in its next match at this same venue.
