Taunton, the home of Somerset Cricket Club is set to host the second T20 match between England and South Africa in 2017.

Taunton will host a men's international for the first time since 1983 when England faces South Africa next year and the schedule for West Indies' 2017 tour was also confirmed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday.

You have to go back 23 years for the last time Taunton staged a men's match at international level, but the home of Somerset will be the venue when England takes on the Proteas in the second of three T20 encounters.

That game will come between T20s at the Ageas Bowl and the Sophia Gardens, while the two sides will contest four Tests at Lord's, Trent Bridge, The Oval and Old Trafford.

South Africa will also do battle with England in three one-day internationals at Headingley, the Ageas Bowl and Lord’s at the start of their tour in May.

The Windies players will then arrive to play Alastair Cook's side in Tests at Edgbaston, Headingley and Lord's, as well as a one-off T20 at Emirates Riverside in a rematch of the World T20.

England faces West Indies in a five-match ODI series after the T20 in September, with Old Trafford, Trent Bridge, the County Ground in Bristol, The Oval and Ageas Bowl the grounds selected for the 50-over format.

ICC Champions Trophy matches will take place in Cardiff, at Edgbaston and The Oval from June 1-18 - before the T20 series between England and South Africa.

England will prepare for the ODI series against the Proteas by facing Ireland in two matches in Bristol and at Lord's on May 5 and May 7 respectively.
