Shaminda Eranga will return to Sri Lanka after being hospitalised following the 136-run victory in the second one-day international against Ireland.

Shaminda Eranga will return to Sri Lanka after being hospitalised following the 136-run victory in the second one-day international against Ireland.

However, he will play no part in Sri Lanka's ODI series against England as a result and will return to his home nation.

"SLC [Sri Lanka Cricket] is pleased to confirm that Eranga, who was hospitalised on Saturday following a detection of an elevated heart-rate is out of danger and under observation and testing only," a statement said.

Eranga was suspended from international bowling on Sunday after his action was deemed to be illegal.
