Thanks for having being born in this world, Little Master...   -  K. R. Deepak

The walk. The upward glance. The quirk, a flicker of a crouch, to set base. The three-pound bat, tapped and held back to lay in wait. When engaged, it was the rush of hands, at times. The subtle of tricks, at other times. The ease of flow and the spark of hopes, at all times.

Watch: >Happy Birthday Sachin: a video tribute

You were there, as an innocent teen, with a thick, curly, jet black mop and a frail frame, battling men twice your age.

You were there, growing, not so much in height, but a lot in character, wanting to conquer everything around you.

You were there, believing in yourself and making us believe: in yourself and ourselves.

You were there, taking us with you on your epic journey, letting us live your joys and sorrows, pleasures and pains.

You were there, scoring runs in tons and tons; here, there and everywhere.

You were there, one night, that night, sitting on your team-mates' shoulders, celebrating a win in Mumbai; a win you wanted for us and we wanted for you.

You were there, one noon, that noon, again in Mumbai, bidding goodbye, shedding a tear that resulted in a billion tears.

You were there, making us smile, frown, laugh, cry, awe, expect, hope, pray, curse...

Thanks for having been born in this world, Little Master.
