Heath Streak eyeing bowling coach job at NCA

Former Zimbabwe captain and fast bowler Heath Streak is looking for an opportunity to work as a fast bowling coach at the BCCI’s National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore. He has offered his services through his London-based agent Tom Harwood. Currently, Streak is the bowling coach of IPL team Gujarat Lions.

Streak’s application and CV, first received by NCA Chairman Niranjan Shah, has been sent to the BCCI Jt. Hon. Secretary, Amitabh Choudhary. “During the IPL matches I met Mr. Heath Streak and he has shown interest to work at NCA as a fast bowling coach. He is a high profile cricketer and can be very useful to NCA as a fast bowling coach we are looking for,” Shah has said in his letter to Choudhary.

Streak is a level 2 coach, level 2 tutor and level 3 bowling tutor (Asia Cricket Council). He has held many coaching positions with the Zimbabwe national team, Matabeleland Tuskers, Auckland Aces and is currently the head coach of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
