I am a very big fan of former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
I was so thrilled to watch him hit that huge six off Kulasekara to get us the World Cup after 28 years in 2011.
I still remember that time. The entire country was celebrating and so was I.
I was a kid back then and couldn't contain my joy.
I didn't watch much of the celebrations they were airing on TV but I very clearly remember seeing Sachin Tendulkar a little emotional that day.

I read a statement by Virat Kohli later in the day about how he carried Sachin on his shoulders for a lap of honour.
"Sachin Tendulkar has carried Indian cricket on his shoulders for 21 years. So it was fitting that we carried him on our shoulders after this win," Virat had said then.
Eight years have gone by and Dhoni is now in the twilight of his career. He might even retire from international cricket at the end of the tournament. One can never tell.
I hope the current crop of players in the squad rise to the occasion to give Thala Dhoni a similar send off.
It will be fitting to see the younger generation carrying Dhoni on their shoulders with Thala holding the World Cup come July 14.
All the best Team India.
